OA’s first essays take us to opera in lands beyond Europe – Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, and Siberia. Our essayist, CCE board member Afarin Bellisario, is a professional writer and mechanical engineer turned business consultant. Afarin grew up in Tehran steeped in the music and arts of the Middle East and the lands beyond.
